Catholics on Call - 2013 Young Adult Summer Conference

Catholics on Call invites young people, ages 18-30, who are considering a life of
service in the Church to join for the 2013 young adult summer conference. Participants
have the opportunity to connect and pray with other like-minded young adults, to
hear nationally-known speakers, discuss how to listen to God's call, and to learn
valuable skills that will help them to discern their vocation, whether it be to
priesthood, religious life or lay ecclesial ministry. This five-day conference will
take place from August 6-10, 2013 at Catholic Theological Union in the Hyde Park
neighborhood of Chicago. Registration fee is $100 and includes room and board.

New "Faith in the D" Initiative

Detriot, MI

This new initiative will provide young adults with opportunities to explore spirituality,
community service and social justice projects, and to engage in their own leadership
development. Outreach into the business world in the downtown will support emerging
young leaders as they connect with the needs in our communities. While based at
Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Fr. Wright wants to build a spiritual center
that works together with those of all faiths, and to serve any young adults who
are exploring or searching for spirituality for their lives in today's urban context.
The project will also include a new organization for alumni and friends of any age
from any of the Jesuit institutions across the U.S., and who are now located in

Volunteers in Transition Certificate Program

July 28-August 2, 2013

University of Notre Dame, Indiana

Qualities of leadership exhibited by postgraduate volunteers are increasingly recognized
by employers. The goal of this week-long certificate program is to offer tools and
resources to help leaders transition from volunteering to employment. The certificate
program is open to anyone who has completed a year or more of full-time volunteer
service. The program is free and includes a $150 stipend to help cover travel and
food. Also, free lodging is available in an on-campus air-conditioned dormitory,
double room occupancy. Space is limited and the application process will close

Ministry Possibility in Bangladesh

Seattle Maryknoll Affiliate Bill Engels is seeking a replacement as principal of
Prime Campus, a pre-k and elementary school in Dhaka, Bangladesh designed to provide
quality English-language based education for lower income families. Classes are
offered from Nursery through Grade 4. Since the next grade level is added each year,
the school expects to have secondary grades eventually. In 2012, it opened its first
branch, also in Dhaka, with classes in Nursery and Kindergarten. Incumbents receive
a monthly allowance, air-fare to and from the U.S. once a year, accommodations,
and a personal car and driver. Candidates should have a strong interest in and capacity
for serving Christ in the developing world. The starting date for the position is

Graduate Scholarship Opportunity

Beginning for the academic year 2013, the Social Ministry Program at St. Francis
Xavier College Church and Saint Louis University School of Social Work will be
offering a $30,000 yearly graduate scholarship to an individual enrolled in Graduate
program through School of Social Work. As part of the scholarship, the individual
