Welcome the April 2013 edition of the FiskerBuzz.com newsletter!

There's been a lot of bad news in the Fisker world lately, and our friends at AutoGuide.com have it covered with an interesting article on former Fisker employees suing the company over layoffs. You can read all about it by clicking on the link below.
Also in this month's newsletter we've put together a collection of threads, including a look at a Karma joining a police fleet, a lovely photo shoot, and our members share their favorite Fisker stories. After you've read all that, be sure to click on the image to the right to head to GoProForums.com, a great new site dedicated to the GoPro camera.
Enjoy the newsletter and remember to drive safely out there!

Lots of bad news lately in Karma-land. Time to lift your spirits and knock out some of this negativity.

Photography is a hobby of mine. After speaking to this model (Ladina) about the Karma - I thought it would be interesting to do a test shoot with her and the car. It went well & I thought she has the right 'look' for the Karma - so now we're planning a little project.

BTW, does anybody know the load (weight) capacity of the Karma's solar roof? :)

Enjoy!

PS I learned something about the Karma today (in that last shot).

Fisker warranty no longer valid

I attempted to bring my car in today to Fisker Miami for the 5000 mile free service and some warranty issues. I was told I would have to pay out of pocket for any work done. The service manager Michael Berger told me that due to the layoffs last week, he had no one to confirm at Fisker that he would be reimbursed and no longer any access to the technicians web site. Looks like our worse fears have become reality. There is also no one available to obtain any parts Fisker may still have.

Favorite Fisker Stories

A strange thing happened last night (4/12/13). Just before dinnertime there was a knock at the door. Outside stood a policeman.
Good evening, sir, he said, looming over me.
What can I do for you, officer? I responded, trying to act nonchalant.
Do you drive a Fisker Karma?
Y-yes, I said. I had been out a little earlier, running an errand. All I could think about was that front license plate in the trunk. Or maybe I ran someone over while backing up.

Should we drive our Karmas less?

I love my Fisker. I will never sell it. But as you see from the signature, my Karma is not my only car. There are other cars I can drive if I need to, although my Karma is my main driver since I bought it.

Right now, we don't know what will become of Fisker or the ability to get our cars serviced/fixed and to get parts and software updates. So, I was thinking that maybe I would drive my Karma less, and my other cars more, until we know what the future may hold.
