Thank you for your email.
FYI, we have not hired any of advisory service for alternative investments
since we started the program in 2009. Also, we don't have any fund of
private equity funds platform for investing in smaller private equity funds
yet while we might consier next year. However, as our alternative
investment program expands, we can consider hiring an advisory firm or a
fund of private equity funds for niche markets.
I think we need to consider having a strategic partnership with an advisory
firm for many purposes but I'm currently not in a position to make a
decision on this.
So, I will let you know at the time when we discuss this idea internally.

It was great seeing you in Chicago recently. Thanks for taking the time to
meet with Edgewater. As you know, besides being a Consultant to Edgewater
Funds regarding Investors Relations in Asia, I also work with Rosemont
Seneca located in Washington, DC.


After our conversations in Seoul and Chicago, I have given some thought to
the challenges you face putting a large amount of money to work with
limited staff resources. While I know you described your relationship
with The Partners Fund in Switzerland, I thought that my firm, Rosemont
Seneca Partners (RSP) might be able to play a complementary role with KIC.


RSP has a deep reach across the private equity universe in the U.S. and I
believe working with us would be of considerable value to KIC. RSP is a
investment management and advisory firm primarily working with alternative
investment firms (including hedge funds, private equity funds, and real
estate funds). There are a number of different ways I believe we could be
of help to KIC, for example, we can source managers, work with your team in
NY on due diligence and/or manage a PE fund-of-funds for the smaller PE
firms ($1BL or less) that you want exposure to, but don’t have the
resources to find.


Let me know if you have some initial thoughts on this and if you would like
to schedule some time to talk more about my ideas by phone.
