Hi Hunter.
Just wanted to circle back to thank you for putting us in touch with Jen and to let you know that we answered Jen’s question about their donations, which were directed to WFP USA.

We’ve now rekindled a great relationship with her and The Wailers. Their next tour begins today in Connecticut (with a stop in DC on 11/30) and per Jen’s request, our team forwarded messaging around the emergency campaign, specifically the Ebola crisis, for the band to push out at each tour stop. She also creating some swag to sell, with proceeds coming to WFP USA.

I’ve enjoyed getting to speak with her and we’ll continue to stay in touch. As long-term supporters, we’re obviously very appreciative of their efforts and we’ll find great ways to further the partnership.

Sorry to hear that. With the change in leadership at WFP (UN) our organization WFP-US has had a lot of issues like this in which we (WFP-US/UN) used to collaborate. i am saddened that our efforts to help raise funds and awareness on behalf of wfp have been dampened.

last year, i reached out to the dc office, the kid's school raised over $600 for the Philippines and the school never received an acknowledgement of the check. we have moved to vermont and food security is certainly an issue here, so it is very difficult to raise money for international efforts.

additionally, last summer jonathan blume sent me a lengthy email and we also spoke on the phone about the wailers doing a benefit concert on the vineyard, again no follow up after the initial talks. i gave him the green light on all of this requests.

you know i am deeply committed to wfp's efforts and would do everything in my power to help.

please let me know if we can reignite our work
