Hey Hunt,
How are you? Hope all is well with you, Kath, and the kids.
I have a personal favor to ask-- wanted to see if you're going to be at Georgetown this coming Tuesday.
Nick Fluehr, my friend from Forest Hills who you met when he was up at the lake last summer with one of his kids for a sailing regatta, is taking his son Cole to visit the campus on Tuesday with his wife Nicole. As you might suspect, Cole is a total superstar, straight A student, president of Student Council, accomplished competitive sailor, model UN awards, etc..... and really wants to attend Georgetown-- his application has been submitted.
He was in touch with the sailing coach last year (when his brother was looking at schools-- he wound up going to Brown) and has let him know that they're going to be at the campus on Tuesday.
Nick recalled that you taught at the University and wanted to see if you could potentially take a half hour to show them around campus while they're there. Not sure if you know the sailing coach, Michael Callahan ('97), but if you did and are in town, maybe see if he'd set some time aside to meet Cole.
I'm going to be reaching out to President DeGioia on his behalf at the right time. I've attached his details so you'd know that he's truly an impressive kid.

I know it's short notice, bit if you're going to be at the campus, it would be hugely appreciated. Completely understand if it's just not doable.

As discussed, attached is Cole’s resume. Nicole also send below the name of the sailing coaches with whom Cole has been in touch. Our present plan is to arrive in DC on Monday afternoon and visit the campus on Tuesday. If Hunter were available to meet Cole, that would be great. Let us know if there’s additional info we can provide.

The Georgetown Sailing Coach is Michael Callahan (graduated Georgetown in '97), and the Assistant Sailing Coach is Janel Zarkowsky (graduated BU which has good team)

Mac and Cole visited a few years ago with Callahan who was very nice and told them that based on their sailing history at the time they would be on the team, but they still had to get into Georgetown. Cole shot an email to Callahan after his application was submitted in January letting him know he applied and had Georgetown at the top of his list, reminding him they had met, and furnishing him with his sailing and academic resumes.
