Dear 8th grade families,

You know the drill by now, so just a quick reminder of this week’s
game-of-the-week—Varsity Soccer this time, which should be lots of fun! See
extract below from this week’s Tuesday letter. Unlike previous
games-of-the-week, this one is not on Friday, but TOMORROW, Thursday. As
you know, our 8th graders are allowed to stay on campus to attend the game
without an adult, though parents are encouraged to come too. Pre-game party
at 4 pm, and game at 4.30 pm.

Thanks and go Quakers!

Amy, Elise, Mary, Susan, and Tessa (your 8th grade parent reps)

GAME TIME! BOYS VARSITY SOCCER[image: Varsity_Tennis.jpg]

This week’s featured team is Boys Varsity Soccer taking on Potomac School
at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 2. At 4:00 p.m., we’ll have a pre-game
party for soccer fans of all ages in the Class of 1960 Garden behind
Zartman House. Get your Sidwell Swag on — Great new SFS gear at the Fox
Den! MS students grades 5-7 must be with a responsible adult.

Spectators are encouraged to share their photos of the game by tagging
@SidwellFriends with #GoQuakers or by email (webbk@sidwell.edu). Winning
photographer gets a free baseball cap!

Despite seeing many photos taken at last week's Girls Varsity Tennis
competition and a winning performance by the team, we didn’t get any
submissions on Friday. The attached photo above is from our staff, and the
competition will remain open until Wednesday – so send us your tennis
photos from last Friday!

Next featured game is Girls Varsity Volleyball v. Wilson High School on October
10 at 4:45 p.m
