Hi folks, I’ve attached a proposal from the Delaware 87ers for a non-profit night/partnership. It’s pretty exciting, Patty and I think. It’s not cheap - $15,000 for the full package - but offers us a marketing and publicity opportunity we’d be hard pressed to find otherwise. Additionally, we’ll be able to have a NetSmartz training for the families who come, at least 3 opportunities to be onsite with a table to create Child ID Kits, and 20% of ticket sales to our game + 20% of ticket sales for people who use our promotional code all season long. To say nothing of the opportunity to recruit volunteers and talk to adults about bringing Stewards of Children to their workplaces.
The idea would be to do this event in February or March, on one of their televised games (we get our logo on center court!) so we can further maximize our impact.
We’re applying for a grant from the Laffey McHugh Foundation for “capacity building.” We’ll need to decide on whether or not we want to do this before we apply for that grant, but part of what we’ll talk about in the grant application is this idea of raising awareness of our mission and programming.
Please let me know what your thoughts are by Wednesday of next week.
Thanks!
