We hope you will join as many as 40 state treasurers expected to attend the 2016 NAST Annual Conference (September 10-13) at the beautiful Fairmont Olympic Hotel<http://www.fairmont.com/seattle/> in Seattle, Washington!

In addition to the terrific support from our nation's treasurers, the NAST staff and corporate affiliate board are happy to announce the following keynotes and panels for this year's conference.

> Peter Orszag - Fiscal Challenges Facing the Next Administration

> A View of the Financial Markets - A CIO Roundtable

Ø Consideration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Issues: A New Investment Criterion

> James Coulter - Private Equity: A New Generation

> Innovative Thinking in Infrastructure: Identifying the Federal, State and Private Sector Roles

> Investments in Infrastructure: How differing financing mechanisms can help ensure steady cash flows

> The Federal Reserve's proposal to restrict access to repurchased collateral with Systemically Important U.S. Banks: A New Risk for State Treasury Investments

> A Conversation with Ken Mehlman

Please make your hotel reservations and register for the conference as soon as possible. The hotel block for the 2016 NAST Annual Conference closes tomorrow, August 9 and registration is currently open<http://nast.org/2016-nast-annual-conference/>!

This year's Annual Conference will also offer social events including a Sunday evening reception at the Fairmont, a Monday evening sunset cruise and traditional salmon bake at Tillicum Village (a brief description is available here<http://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/destinations/2013/08/27/tillicum-village-seattle-salmon-bake/2628437/>) and a Tuesday evening reception at the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum<http://chihulygardenandglass.com/> directly beneath Seattle's famous Space Needle.

The conference brochure<http://nast.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/registration_brochure-8.3.16.pdf> is now available. As the hotel block is already more than 80% filled, we encourage all who plan to attend to register<http://nast.org/2016-nast-annual-conference/> and make hotel reservations as soon as possible by calling (800) 441-1414 by Tuesday, August 9 and asking for the NAST Annual Conference rate ($245/night + tax).

Sponsorship opportunities remain available for the conference. For more information, please email sponsorships@statetreasurers.org<mailto:sponsorships@statetreasurers.org>
