Of course only you know the truth. I know he talked only to you about certain things. There are relationshipslovers or brothers or, in my case, fathers and daughterswhere there will never be something to replace the loss, to mirror conversations which took place in intimate, trusting contexts. After my father died someone (who I like) said, ³oh, Lea, no one will ever believe in you the way he did,² and I took it badly but later realized it was a compliment, both of Daddy and of the relationship. God, in every single talk I had with B he talked of you. I felt I was knowing you through him in those years. I so wanted to write a book with/for him which would make a difference. The greatest gift you can give him is to love yourself. To go easy on yourself. Believe in yourself. I believe in you, Hunter. L., L.
