In our first year, the Beau Biden Foundation has done incredible work.

We've educated hundreds of adults to properly identify and prevent child abuse through the Stewards of Children program - including two school districts in Delaware, the Delaware National Guard and scores of others. We have hundreds more scheduled this fall. We've also educated thousands of children in their schools at at their summer camps about how to keep themselves safe online through the NetSmartz program. We've made new and lasting partnerships with The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Darkness To Light, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware and The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation to help spread our mission of protecting children.

It's been a successful first year for us. We've made so much progress towards Beau's goal of training 35,000 Delawareans to be able to spot the signs of abuse. And we continue to fulfill his promise to keep kids in Delaware safe from abuse. To mark our first full year of carrying on Beau's legacy, we're having a cocktail reception in Wilmington.
