Dear Members of the Truman Center and Truman Project Boards,


I am pleased to share with you an update on the first annual Truman Awards
Dinner <http://trumanproject.org/home/2016-awards-dinner/>, taking place
here in Washington, DC on October 13th. This event will celebrate the
recipients of the Edmund S. Muskie Distinguished Public Service Award
(awardee to be confirmed), the Truman Visionary Leadership Award (Tony West
of PepsiCo), and a new award selected by the Truman Board of Advisors
honoring a Truman member, the Truman Center Policy Leadership Award (Jake
Sullivan).


The dinner will take place at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel
<http://trumanproject.org/home/venue/>, with the reception beginning at
6:00 pm, followed by a seated dinner and the awards program at 7:00 pm. Our
goal for this dinner is to serve not only as a fundraiser for both the
Truman Center and the Truman Project, but also as a point of entry event
for potential donors looking to learn more about who we are. I encourage
you to use this event as an opportunity to engage your networks and
introduce them to the world of Truman, and I hope you will all plan to
attend.
