Hunter - Ertharin has already declined the invitation to attend the swearing in to ensure that she would have ample time for our meeting (she has another meeting afterwards at USAID at 4:15). I am concerned that if we try to squeeze our meeting in between the end of the swearing-in and her USAID meeting, that we will not have sufficient time to discuss the critical issues that we hope to resolve (and may send the wrong message to her). Bonnie is flying here this evening to participate in the meeting and we are currently scheduled to meet with her at 1pm to discuss these issues. I hope this is not too problematic.
