Dear Parents,

On *June 4*, as one of our last class activities, our seniors will
participate in community service projects together. David Connell has asked
for a few parents to help check in the students and get them on the right
buses. David holds a Meeting with the students before they set off, so he
is not able to deal with the bus drivers and last minute things. A family
has offered to provide breakfast before the seniors leave. In the past,
parents have offered a post-service lunch for the kids when they return. If
anyone is willing to help either in the morning or organizing the lunch,

The only thing that David would like this year is for one or two parents to
be there to supervise before the students set off for the service
sites. Last year, I was there by chance, and there was a bit of running
around to do with the buses. . As for the lunch, the school provides the
students with a packed lunch to take with them to their service. Last
year, a family wanted to provide a post-service lunch, but if no one has
come forward wanting to do this this year, I don't think you need to
solicit. It is really up to the 12 grade families whether there should be a
lunch or not when they get back to school. David and I will defer to the
families on this
