Are you still thinking about the idea for overseeing the funds to make sure they are used correctly utilizing your friends expertise?

A contact of mine (he was Petraus's top counterinsurgency/counterterrorism advisor and advisor to condeleeza rice) has a principal in his firm going to Libya this weekend for a week. She is an Italian who was the head of one of the PRTs (Provincial reconstruction teams) in Southern Iraq for 8 years.

Should I ask them to see if they can find any info on what is happening with the money, how it's being managed, and if there may be an opportunity?

Wanted to confirm with you first before making the request to them. I don't know if they can or can not get the info on this trip, but figured if they're going may be an opportunity to have someone investigate.
