Dear Parents of the cast, crew and musicians of Sneakers,
Tell your friends!  Invite them to the Middle School spring musical, SNEAKERS by Jim Marvin! Public performances are Friday, April 20 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, April 21 at 1 pm in the Mary Ellen Caplin Theater in the Kogod Arts Center. Fun for the whole family! FREE ADMISSION.  No reservations required.
Hard-nosed Principal Stone discourages all types of distractions. His mission: the pursuit of academic excellence. However, new student Toby Bell thinks differently as the internal music deep inside him lures Principal Stone's three children into a number of evening escapades of singing and dancing. This results in holes in the sneakers of each child. Principal Stone appoints two of the schools outstanding students to follow his children to solve this "hole" mystery. Featuring popular music like: Fireflies, Tonight, Tonight, Wavin’ Flag, Adiemus, and Fever.
The show goes up next week, so I wanted to update everyone about the schedule and ask for some help. Please encourage your child to get plenty of sleep and drink lots of fluids. We want them all healthy! There are 60 students (cast/crew/musicians), plus seven adults involved in this production.
We need your help:
Someone (or two) to coordinate getting substantial snacks/supper (wraps or pizza or something besides a bag of chips and a box juice) starting this Sunday for the technical rehearsal and continuing next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Someone (or more) to provide a meal for kids who are staying after school on Friday, April 20 until the call time for the show.
Someone (or many) to provide food and drink for the Cast/Crew/Musician ‘party’ after the last performance on Saturday.
Photographer for taking pictures during Dress Rehearsals
‘Backstage Angels’ to help with supervision during each performance.
Parent help with stage restoration – more volunteers welcome!

Sunday, April 22 from 1:00 until finished: Carlos Pugh, Gina Green, Peter Williams, Norma Scogin, Tim Reagan, and Mary Milroy

Sunday, April 15 from 1-5 pm: Dry Tech rehearsal -- crew and a few actors
Monday, April 16 from 3:30-6:00 pm: Dress rehearsal -- Cast, crew & musicians
Tuesday, April 17 from 2:15-6:00 pm: Dress Rehearsal with entire
Wednesday, April 13 from 3:45-6:30 pm: Final Dress Rehearsal – entire cast, crew, and musicians
