Good morning,
I am planning to release the following statement in support of the Farm Bill this morning (the Farm Bill was distributed by the Committee on Friday afternoon). Almost all of our requested provisions were included and the compromise on the safebox/monetization is reasonable. We worked closely with the Ag Committee and some NGOs on the compromise – but it is still controversial with some NGOs seeking to maintain the status quo. I will provide a more in depth analysis later but need to move quickly to support our friends on the Ag Committee. Please let me know if you have any concerns about the attached statement.
