Thank you once again for having yo=r daughter participate in the Bethesda Girls Lacrosse Program. PLEASE=READ THE FOLLOWING SO YOU ARE UP TO DATE ON THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

1) Registration for Fall will begin July 1, 2012 for current players and Ju=y 15th to players new to Bethesda Lacrosse. Save the date-- this spring we=had extensive wait lists, so do not lose your spot on the team.

2) If you have not done so already, please review the code of conduct appen=ed below. This pertains to players, spectators and coaches.

3) As a club, it is our philosophy to teach girls how to become a well-roun=ed team player. This means that girls will be taught offense and defense. =n attack player who shoots on goal and does not score is now playing defen=e (assuming the goalie makes a save or the opposing team gets possession).=Girls need to learn both positions. Lacrosse is a team sport and requires =articipation of all players in many different situations. As a result of t=is, coaches will put players in different positions to develop these skill=.

4) We hope for sunny days, but weather is something out of our control. As =oon as we hear of a decision that games are cancelled, we will let you kno=. Since the season is so short and make-up games are difficult, these deci=ions are not taken lightly. County fields were open Sunday the 22nd and cl=sed at 12pm. Hence, the information was distributed accordingly. If county=fields are open, games will go on. Thank you for being flexible as ma=e up games are scheduled!

5) With regard to your email address and the website -- if you need to upda=e information, you may go to the Bethesda home page and click "E=it My Account." If you need to change your cell or add an email addre=s, this is where you can make the updates.

6) Bethesda Lacrosse is offering evening-time summer clinics at P=le MS!
June 18-21 from 6-8pm for rising 4th-6th graders.
July 23-26 from 6-8pm for rising 4-6th graders.
July 23-26 from 6-8pm for rising 3rd graders (specifically for girls e=tering 3rd grade in the Fall.)

Details are on the website.
Sign up now!

-- All the best --
Sandy DeCain
Commissioner
Bethesda Girls Lacrosse Program
(703)801-8873

CODE OF CONDUCT
All Coaches, Parents and Players will strictly adhere to Bethes=a Lacrosse Code of Conduct
All Coaches, Players and Spectators must adhere to the Bethesda=Lacrosse Code of Conduct, based on the National Federation of High Schools=Rules:
*No threatening language
*No abusive language
*No profanity or taunting
*No harassing or questioning of referees
Coaches or players shall be assessed a 1 minute non-releasable =enalty for the first violation and a 3 minute penalty for the second.
