Skip, I like this much better and believe that it will hit the mark to a wider audience. I am extremely saddened that we lost Tom Moody over the last one. The new logo looks great. How do these things get distributed so that everyone sees them? We want people who NEVER think about prostate cancer to see it, not just those looking for prostate cancer related information on youtube, or even on our Facebook page. Thanks, as usual, for all the hard work and for listening not only to our "yays," but also our "nays!" As far as being over budget, that seems to work itself out by the end of most years. Are W&K doing any fundraising ads? There's been such a media blitz re: breast cancer and they keep raking in the dough, even with the bad press from the past year. ZERO continues to rock my world, or should I say "walnut" my world??? Sherry "For in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet, we all breathe the same air, we all cherish our children's futures, and we are all mortal." .....John F. This report covers only the activities surrounding Father's Day and not activities going forward. Speaking of which I have the latest animation from W&K. You can view this G-rated musical offering here: https://vimeo.com/44692257 This has not been released publicly yet so you will have to use the following password: ZERO2012 to view the video. I believe you will find this very amusing. A more socially acceptable prostate/walnut will begin returning to the website in the next few days. As I stated in earlier emails, material for the website will approximately follow the television decency standards with content on the website home page being at a family appropriate 8:00 pm standard and materials deeper in the site possessing a warning and adhering to a 10:00 pm network tv standard of decency. Other updates of importance. The new logo and tag line have passed legal and we will start implementing them very shortly. I have attached a copy of the new logo for your perusal. One version has the new tag line "The End of Prostate Cancer" and the other does not. You will also notice that we will be shifting our corporate red color slightly darker as it is thought to be a more powerful color. Work continues on names for the event series and the various events we undertake. While there is general agreement on the direction there are several issues under discussion and Jamie will have a full presentation for everyone when the work is completed. In financial news, our current budget versus actual has us running about $100K ahead of budget at this point in the year. I expect that the slew of September and August races will help to substantially close that gap. We have also been able to reimburse the credit line $100K for monies used at the end of last year to carry over the organization till 2012 race monies arrived and overdue pledges were paid. Please do not hesitate to call or email if you have questions or concerns.
