Dear Hunter,

About a week ago, we told you about voter ID and ballot access laws that would potentially disenfranchise tens of thousands of troops. Today, I want to introduce you to one of the leaders of the fight against those efforts – Missouri Secretary of State candidate, Jason Kander. We have an excellent shot to put this champion for troops and veterans in a high state office, but we need to help him out!

Kander, an Afghanistan veteran, is currently a State Representative in Missouri, where most recently, he led the fight to stop efforts in Missouri that would have ended mail-in ballot access, including for troops who were out of state or abroad. Kander didn't just swear to uphold the Constitution, he's put those words to action!

Because of his work, light was shone on the effect these terrible ballot access laws will have, especially on those who serve America in uniform. People are taking a closer look at similar laws around the country, thanks in part to Jason Kander's work.

Now, let's thank him for all he's done.
