EMAIL DETAILS

I sent my resume and they sent back saying looks great and then I had a
phone interview with them this morning and they said I'm all set to go.
It's unpaid but I get school credit and me and Allie were thinking we could
get jobs at a restaurant and make money at night since I will be off work
by 5 most likely. I'm meeting with my advisor tmw to make sure Penn will
let me get credit then once I fax a copy of Penn saying I get credit the
internship is finalized. I would start July 7th and go through mid August
so it would be about a 6 week internship.

It sounds really cool and Hannah said theres only four interns in the whole
New York office so we have a lot of responsibility and a lot of our
responsibilities are handling the press reports and PR stuff so it would be
similiar to what i did at CSIS and loved. I am also thrilled to be getting
credit.

I really want to do summer session which is May 27th - July 2nd and would
fit perfectly with the start time of my internship. I know it is expensive
so we will have to talk about it but I'm SO stressed about how many credits
I need to fullfil to graduate with a IR major and East Asian Languages and
Societies minor. I spoke to my advisor today and she said there is no way I
will get into the abroad program unless I protest it and say I would be
filling more requirements over summer. I know we need to speak more about
this but ultimately I want to go abroad to London or Paris
*Spring*semester of next year instead of Fall. I would feel much more
comfortable
with doing that. Right now I'm really stressed at school I feel like I'm
playing catch up because of taking 3 classes first semester last year and 2
of them being languages that filled NO requirements. I know I put myself in
this position and I feel really guilty about that but I think if I did
summer session raised my GPA and then took all classes that fill
requirements next semester and went abroad in the Spring I would feel so
much more comfortable and be in such a better place.
