Good morning from what will be the hottest day at the US Open, an anticipated high of 81 degrees. This is considerably warmer than the temperatures and conditions this time of year and the the first two days of the Open. The course will get a lot of extra water and by 3pm local time when the last group goes out it will be very fast and very firm. Oh my.

Love Tiger or hate Tiger he is back and tied for the lead. The combination of Tiger and Furyk in the final group today and prime time coverage on the east coast may set a Saturday TV viewing record.

I am reminded of a line from the Howard Stern movie: "The average Howard fan listens for two hours a day and the average Howard hater listen for four!"

Watch Furyk - This course sets up well for him and he has won this event before.
