I wanted to share Tricia's story. I had the opportunity to meet her, Amy and their youngest son, Will, on the night that the House passed Marriage Equality.

Will was tired when I met him (what four-year-old wouldn't be after standing for hours?) but the next day I saw a picture of him and his family that was taken right after the House voted for dignity. His little face was lit up with joy, and he was cheering as his moms hugged him with the love that only a mother can provide.

Amy and I are in love and have been in a committed relationship for seven years. Together, we're raising two wonderful children. As loving parents, we want to provide them with the most stable and secure home possible - with all the legal protections that marriage brings.

But opponents of marriage equality are well-funded and determined to see us not marry.
