Today is a victory for millions of Americans who can
continue to benefit from the protections of the Affordable
Care Act.

It's a victory for Natoma Canfield, a cancer survivor who
was in a hospital bed the day I signed this bill into law.
After her rates skyrocketed, she had to choose between
keeping her house and keeping her insurance. I keep a
letter from her in the Oval Office.

Thanks to the Supreme Court's decision today, nobody else
will have to go through what Natoma did.

It's hard to believe anyone was hoping for a different
outcome, but Mitt Romney and Republicans in Washington were.

Fortunately, they didn't get what they wanted today.

So now the only thing that can make our health care system
less fair, less efficient, and less affordable for
middle-class families is the prospect of President Mitt
Romney.
