Commentary August 19, 2016 Fariborz S. Fatemi The latest pronouncement "Whatdo you have to lose?" from Trump's mouth, again disconnected from hisbrain, is to the black community. How pathetic. This question, asking for black support, comes from a person who hopesthe black community has collective amnesia. Trump has made a career out ofattempts to demean and delegitimize the twice-elected black president of theUnited States. Obama is a president who future historians will no doubtclassify as one of our greatest in the last half century. He is the one who notonly rescued the U.S. from another great depression and restored the economy,but also killed the leader of a movement whose followers attacked our country.These are just a few of the president's accomplishments. Further, when you lookat who is supporting Trump, you see white supremacists and Nazis. Certainly nofriends of the black community. Trump has not denounced their support, and itgoes to character and fitness. And Trump, in his life of amassing his fortune,has not done anything to help blacks. The next time you hear him ask anyone"What do you have to lose?" the resounding response must be"nothing but my sanity" if you accept his falsehoods.
