Dear Friends, Welcome to your weekly #TeamLisa update. With 29 days until the Democratic Primary in September we want to make sure everyone is up-to-date on all our campaign is doing. Here are some key updates: Our Newest Team Member! With GOTV on the horizon, Latisha Bracy is joining our team as GOTV Coordinator. Latisha is a veteran of Delaware politics, working in the offices of both Sen. Tom Carper and Sen. Chris Coons as well as stints on Joe Biden's presidential campaign and Sen. Coons' 2010 election. Contact her at tish@lisabluntrochester.com to get involved with our GOTV efforts. Debate tomorrow night! Come out tomorrow night and show your support for Lisa at the Delaware Council for Global and Muslim Affairs debate night. Lisa always loves it when she can see familiar faces in the crowd! The event begins at 6pm tomorrow night at the UAW Conference Hall in Newark (698 Old Baltimore Pike) with the debate itself beginning at 6:30pm. RSVP at info@DelawareCouncil.com if you can make it. You'll also be able to watch online via live stream at www.facebook.com/DelawareCouncil. Can't Make It Tomorrow Night? Have no fear. There's another candidate forum on Thursday! This forum will focus on education issues in Delaware and is hosted by DelaCORE Leaders in association with the Metro Wilmington Urban League Young Professionals and the PACE Network. The forum will begin at 6pm at the Christina Cultural Arts Center on N. Market Street. Women for Lisa with Rep. Yvette Clark! It was standing room only despite a quick venue change at last week's Women for Lisa event with Rep. Yvette Clark. Dr. Gretchen Bauer from the University of Delaware moderated a lively discussion on empowering women in politics. Stay tuned for more Women for Lisa events over these last four weeks in the primary! Don't forget about our upcoming #Women4Lisa events: Winning Women Wednesday Phone Bank When: August 17th, August 24th, August 31st, and September 7th Shifts: 5:00pm-7:00pm, 7:00pm-9:00pm every Wednesday Location: LBR4C Headquarters, 520 Greenhill Ave, Wilmington, DE 19805 *Light refreshments will be served. Contact kailyn@lisabluntrochester.com to join #Women4Lisa! More Giant Signs! We've gotten a great response from the giant signs we've placed throughout Delaware. In fact, it's so good that we've ordered another batch! Email me at max@lisabluntrochester.com today if you have access to a great location for a giant sign. Also, let me know if you want a Lisa yard sign; we'll even deliver it. Show your neighbors who the best candidate for Congress is! Peach Festival in Middletown! Join #TeamLisa this Saturday at the 23rd Annual Middletown Old-Tyme Peach Festival. We'll start the morning early with a parade so grab your Lisa shirt and join us bright and early to show your support. We're also looking for volunteers to help man our booth throughout the day on Saturday. Contact tish@lisabluntrochester.com to join us! Join #TeamLisa. Since we started ramping up our grassroots outreach program in June, #TeamLisa has made thousands of phone calls to Democratic primary voters and knocked doors across Delaware. Contact tish@lisabluntrochester.com to join #TeamLisa and volunteer to help make history over these final four weeks. Good Luck at College, Maija! We were also saddened this week to see our Deputy Grassroots Director Maija Hall head back to college. Maija is starting her junior year at UMass-Amherst. She has done a terrific job, and hopefully she'll come back to visit when she can! Upcoming candidate forums, debates & events: August 15.
