Just got off the phone with Kris Balderston. Who is a really great guy by the way. He said to say hello to you and went on about how great you are and what great work you are doing at WFP USA. Anyway, he connected me with another guy, Jacob Moss, who is a Clean Stoves expert and the bottom line is that the feedback was ethanol based fuels for stoves would be great and there are groups that are trying it but no one has yet cracked the code. Said they would connect us with a few people who are Ethanol Clean Stove advocates (on the policy side - not business wise). We can talk more on Monday about whether to go forward or not, but Jacob did mention that Rick Leach had some strong opinions about ethanol clean stoves (mainly that the ethanol shouldn’t come from land that was being used to feed people). Should I reach out to Rick and see what he thinks about the topic? Jacob said he didn’t think Rick was opposed just that he cared where the fuel was being sourced from. Eric D.
