These were the guys that were passed on to me by Aunt Val. It may be worth meeting with them when the time comes - especially if Bob Barnett hasn’t endeared himself to people lately. Certainly an outside the box choice but I would argue JRB should look at something that is a little different than the Barnett route - see what kind of bad press he got around HRC’s book deal? As you may recall, last summer we sent a letter to the Vice President. (It’s attached again.) > > I also wanted to pass along a recent article in Washingtonian magazine, that explains our agency’s approach and also mentions specifically our interest in working with the Vice President. The article can be found here: http://www.washingtonian.com/blogs/capitalcomment/books/meet-the-two-guys-who-are-about-to-blow-up-washingtons-book-industry.php <http://www.washingtonian.com/blogs/capitalcomment/books/meet-the-two-guys-who-are-about-to-blow-up-washingtons-book-industry.php> > > Although many of our clients have been Republicans, our firm has been attracting more and more Democrats. We are also working with reporters, historians, and academics. In every case, we’ve managed to arrange book deals with major publishers that have met or exceeded what any of our competitors have done. > > In the Vice President’s case, we are also willing to discuss a cap on our fees — it would be very beneficial to us to represent him, quite frankly, and we will do whatever we can to give him a terrific deal. > > I would appreciate it if you would convey our interest in a quick meeting with the Vice President and any pertinent representatives. I think we can convince everyone concerned that we would be the best partner for him. > > Thanks again for your assistance and consideration. > > Matt > > > > > ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- > javelin. > Matt Latimer > Founding Partner > matt@javelindc.com <mailto:matt@javelindc.com> > http://www.javelindc.com/ <http://www.javelindc.com/> > o.
