Kathy, please pass this along to Steve. He will know who Foster Freis is. He would like to meet with Dad. Someone should respond either way. Dictated but not edited by Foster Friess - MAR 4, 2015 9:43 AM EST At one time he proposed splitting Iraq into three countries giving the Kurds an independent state. I'm not currently interested in necessarily pursuing that line of thought, but rather how we can arm the Kurds more completely. They are not getting what they need to confront ISIS, but yet they are the most significant effort against ISIS, and more effective, I believe, than the Iraqi Central Government's efforts. So, I just wanted to see how he could be helpful in getting them more of the armaments they need and maybe, if necessary, going directly to shipments to Erbil rather than having them go through the Central Government in Baghdad where things get skimmed off. For example, I'm told 250 MRAPs (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles) were sent, and the Kurds only got 25 of them. They are grossly under-equipped which I can attest after my visit to the Black Tiger Peshmerga camp on the ISIS front lines several weeks ago where I talked with the Vice-Commander. Let me know, Hunter, if you can be helpful in pursuing the agenda of getting the Kurds properly armed, not so that they can become an independent state which is a fear of the Central Baghdad Government, but so they can just protect themselves and be an effective force in stopping the beheadings and crucifixions and destruction that ISIS is executing in the area. God bless, Foster (:>)*****
