Folks, Tequila Fest Weekend is rapidly approaching, so get those livers in
shape, get out the sunscreen, bikinis, Speedos (not you Bryan, McNitt,
Matt), polish up on your home-run swings, and get ready to eat crabs and
drink Tequila!!!!!


Again, Tequila Fest is Saturday, July 16, at my cottage near St. Michaels,
and you are also welcome to come Friday night for the pre-Tequila Fest,
quiet, chill, steak and vino extravaganza. Please remember that I only have
so many beds, so please do not extend the invite to anyone else without
checking with me first.


Please let me know as soon as you can if you are confirmed for Saturday
and/or Friday nights so I can get an accurate head count and figure out
food, booze and sleeping arrangements (although, beds are first-come, first
serve, and some are far better than others!!!). I have attached directions
to the cottage here as well.


Of course, everyone is welcome to bring beer, booze, food, etc...all will be
consumed - but if you bring beer, please bring cans as it is a pain in the
ass to carry the bottles to the re-cycling.


Also, if you have them, bring your baseball gloves. And you, McNitt, your
diapers, please, and don't wear them in the pool, thank you very much.


Look forward to the 4th Annual Tequila Fest and seeing you all there and
seeing if you can hang with the Big Dogs (usually me and Joanie!!!). And
this year, we may have an appearance by the Big Dog himself, Jeffie!!!!

PS - Joanie, Lesly, Rachel, hope you are working on the 90s, 00s dance
music; Matt and Val, you're in charge of that shitty 80s stuff (please no
leg warmers); we're leaving out the 70's disco era as rock and roll died
during that period and there was nothing worth listening to; and Jeffie and
I are doing the 60s, 70, 80s. 90s garage rock that will bring the house
down, baby!!!!

Okay, all you current and former National Groupers, OBBers, and friends, I
know it may seem early, but there are some "A-Listers" among us who are
already putting their Summer 2011 travel schedules together - you know who
you are ... Martha's Vineyard, Monaco, South America - so I thought it
important to get on everyone's schedule this year's "D-Lister" event of the
Summer of 2011 - the 4th Annual Tequila Fest 2011 at my cottage in beautiful
downtown Wittman (well, it's near St. Michael's anyway), Maryland!!!


Tequila Fest 2011 will be Saturday, July 16 this year - a couple of weeks
early from our previous end of July events, so please note the change in
date - mid-July not end of July.


As in past years, everyone is encouraged to get to the cottage as early on
Saturday as possible to allow for a full day of pool time (you'll get to
watch McNitt in a Speedo and a Baby Huey floatie - see attachment), eating
and cocktailing (Maryland crabs and NY Zwyiegle's hots), Wittman Field
Wiffel Ball Tournament (see attached pic) and Tequila Festing!!!


All of this sun and fun will be accompanied by the greatest Beach Party
Music ever put together (Joanie, Rachel, Lesly, you are in charge of ipod
music for the 90's, 00s and now, Matt, Valerie, you are in charge of 80's
music (was there any good music in the 80's?), Anna, Irena, Puppy, you are
in charge of Bulgarian and other Euro-trash music, and, finally, and most
importantly, Jeff and I are in charge of the real music, 60s and 70s Rock
and Roll, baby, yeah!!!!!) -- and, of course, drunken Karaoke, led by
Muldoon.


Everyone is also invited to come to the cottage the night before, Friday
night, for a pre-Tequila Fest get-together which, like last year, will
likely involve multiple bottles of red wine, steaks, port, cigars and a
monster wine hangover Saturday morning. This option is only if you can run
two days in a row with the Big Dogs!!!


For those of you who have come to Tequila Fest before, you know the drill -
for those of you who might come for the first time, please note that because
bed, floor space and facilities are very limited at the cottage, please do
not extend the invitation (exclusive as it is!!!) to anyone else including
spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends, mistresses, etc. without checking with the
Tequila Fest Committee Chairman, me, so we can keep the numbers to levels
which the cottage can handle - thank you in advance for that.


Looking forward to seeing everyone at Tequila Fest 2011!!!! Directions to
come later. Please let me know if you are able to come as slots are
limited!!!
