I love Lindsey Buckingham too and I thought it was ridiculous that he got kicked out of the band. I thought it would make them even less relevant as a touring band in 2018. Once, the Big Mac was everything. But in today’s Spotified world, they are nostalgia, albeit still very powerful nostalgia for those of us who remember. At least that’s what I thought until I saw them perform on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Lindsey is out, Neil Finn is in and so is the Heartbreaker’s Mike Campbell. The rest of the Mac is the same as it ever was. And their performance on Ellen blew me away! They sound rejuvenated, urgent even. There’s no reason for the new Big Mac to record new songs, their cannon is among the best of all time and you’ll want to hear it performed like this. Check out this clip of “The Chain (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VElI89y_-QI&utm_source=CSIS+All&utm_campaign=2ba71b293c-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_09_06_04_39&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_f326fc46b6-2ba71b293c-145367789) ” and tell me you aren’t going to scramble for tickets this fall…I know I am.
