Jefferson Clinic Earns ALS Association Certification

Hershey ALS Resource Group Cultivates Flowers and Friendship
“Where flowers bloom, so does hope.” These words, spoken by Lady Bird Johnson, resonate with families impacted by ALS who participate in a Chapter-supported ALS Resource Group connected with The ALS Association Certified Center of Excellence at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. The group created and continues to lovingly tend to a lush Garden of Hope that enables members to cultivate bonding and friendship through the joy of gardening. A 15-Year Milestone in the Lehigh Valley
The Chapter congratulates Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Neuromuscular and ALS Center for Comprehensive Care on its 15-year anniversary of providing care and services to the ALS community. Over its 15 years of operation, the ALS Center has earned designation as a Recognized Treatment Center by The ALS Association. This special milestone anniversary and the ALS Center’s continued commitment to best care practices was recognized at a special ceremony by Allentown Mayor Ray O’Connell, as well as Pennsylvania State Senators Pat Browne, Lisa Boscola, and Mario Scavello. This signature event, which raises money to support ALS research and care, honors the urgency of our mission while celebrating the individuals and innovations, that, every day, make a remarkable difference for those impacted by ALS.
