Hunt, I hope you are well, friend. Can't remember the last time I spoke to
you, but your Dad was so terrific back in January when he burst into Senator
Inouye's swearing in party to say hello and saw me and yelled out, "Vinnie,
you rascal, I knew you'd be here!!!!!" Good for my rep!!!! It was very
kind of him.


Hey, I spoke to a very worried Russ Carnahan the other day who is
desparately seeking money for his campaign - as you probably know, he's
being redistricted and is going to have to run against a Republican in a
neighboring district - gonna be a tough race for him. He asked how you were
doing on the call and wanted to say hello.


He's been so good to me on Missouri Botanical Garden (yes, I still have
them, even in this environment, but the going's been tough for us here - let
me know if you see any business out there that might fit us - defense is
where I am doing most of my work now with Inouye and Dicks -- we could use
the help) that I've told him I'd help raise some money for him. I'm gonna
write him a check before the end of this June quarter - would you be
interesting in doing so as well? If you do, I'll send it to him with mine
and tell him that you wanted to help - maybe we can go to his next
fundraiser. Russ would be super appreciative and you know, he'd just such a
nice guy.


If you get a chance soon, let's get lunch or a drink - like to catch up.
I'm gonna try to make your summer party - can't remember when it is.
