Good morning,

I hope this email finds you and your family well and ready for a great school year. My name is Julia Breskin and I am the Engagement and Giving Coordinator for Sidwell Friends. In my role, I am fortunate that I get to work closely with the parent community in support of the Annual Fund. As you may know, the Annual Fund supports two crucial Sidwell priorities: financial aid for students and faculty professional development.

I’m writing you today in the hope that you’ll join fellow parents as a 2018/19 Annual Fund parent volunteer.

This past school year, over 600 Sidwell families made a gift to the Annual Fund – an impressive 73% participation rate. Our success was due in considerable part to the amazing parent volunteers who work with the Annual Fund team.

Now, we need you to make the 2018/19 Annual Fund campaign even more successful. Because no one is more influential than a peer, no one is a more credible and compelling Annual Fund advocate in the eyes of a Sidwell parent than a fellow Sidwell parent. Accordingly, parent volunteer participation in the Annual Fund is absolutely critical to the Fund’s success.

There are two principal ways to volunteer. You can do either or both, and I’ll work with you toward:


1. Assigning you a portfolio of five to ten Sidwell parent prospects to whom you will reach out by phone, by email, and/or in person; and/or


1. Arranging for your participation in the November Text-a-thon.
