Subject: 2018 Archmere Golf/Tennis Outing Sponsorship - $50 Patron Sponsor

It is that time of year again for us to support the Legacy Fund though a Golf & Tennis Outing sponsorship for Archmere. We are just 7 weeks away from Archmere’s Golf & Tennis Outing and I am asking you to commit just $50 towards a Patron sponsorship (see attached docs for either golf or tennis sponsorships). Proceeds from the event support the Archmere Alumni Legacy Scholarship Fund, which provides financial aid to relatives of alums attending Archmere. Fax, email or just pick up the phone and call Ainsley…her number is on either form. The process is simple and the sponsorship is tax deductible. There are higher levels of sponsorship for both Golf & Tennis if you wish to give more, but I am only asking you to commit $50 towards a basic Patron sponsorship which is listed on the attached Golf Sponsorship Form. What Archmere gave us, especially the friendships and community of 88 class, is worth that much to us all.

To put $50 in perspective, here is my 2018 list of things I spent $50 or more on this summer: Tix to a Cubs game at Wrigley, Nutella, gym membership, the bug guy, pizza, mini hot dogs, the dentist, voice lessons, parking, the special pasta at Polpo in Avalon which was a total rip-off, slime, haircuts, flowers, Kiwi Yogurt, boat rental, ADT Security, Hershey Park tix, entrance to the National Constitution Center, dry cleaning, cupcakes from Sprinkles, Zappos, movie tix, GameStop, paying Stephanie to say “yes” when Kyle proposed, Netflix, fishing equipment, rabbit supplies, bagels, drinks at the Windrift, soccer uniforms, squash rackets, a massage, protein powder, mini golf, a new backyard/pool when the old one was fine, Morey’s Pier, the lawn guy, donuts, airfare, limoncello, Spotify, UBER, tomatoes from Rosie’s, teddy bears, Harry Potter wands, gasoline, sous vide cooker, tacos, tequila…goes with the tacos, urgent care, cologne, wine, the pool guy, and whatever my wife buys from Anthropologie.

Archmere was certainly worth more than all of the above to us and my goal is to get 100% participation from the great class of 1988. If you can’t commit $50 towards a Parton sponsorship for whatever reason, let me know and I will pledge a Parton sponsorship in your name.
