as a US citizen, big honor!!! We are celebrating accordingly!


I am helping with the organization of the Secretary of Commerce
Competitiveness Forum, that occur in DR this coming October, and I saw
that your mother will be a speaker in a panel about education. I hope
you can make it too!


But my apologies for the distraction, as I am working for my wife in
this email. She is organizing a closed panel about the investment
situation in the Middle East, after the uprising. Speakers include the
Vice chairman of the Citibank, Eurasia president Ian Brenner, and
Ambassador Hunaina Al Mughary. She is expecting 50 investors as part of
the audience.


She thought that you and Eric might be interested in attending. The
invite is attached.

The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency of the World Bank Group is
hosting a high-level event in Washington DC on July 20th (see invitation
attached). The panel discussion -- Investment Prospects in the Wake of
the Arab Spring -- will focus on private sector perspectives on
investment and political risk in the Middle East and North Africa region
following the recent turbulent events. The event will be invitation-only
at the World Bank headquarters and aimed to private sector executives
that are interested in or active in the MENA region. There will also
select representation from diplomatic and think-tank community.

Distinguished panelists include:
- Hamid Biglari, Vice Chairman, Head of Emerging Markets and Content,
Citicorp, Citigroup
- Ian Bremmer, President, Eurasia Group
