Dear Board of Directors, After a harrowing 72 hours, we can now safely say that the $3.6 billion rescissions package from OMB that solely targeted the State Department and USAID is now officially dead. Since last Friday, the package was on-again, off-again. But a final decision was made to shut down the rescissions package at a late morning meeting at the White House with President Trump, Secretary Pompeo, and OMB Director Mick Mulvaney. Huge shout-outs to Senate leadership – McConnell, Corker, Menendez, Graham, Shelby, Leahy, and many other friends. And significant credit to Secretary Pompeo! Extremely proud of the USGLC team who masterfully managed this challenge since day one – leading the community, engaging the Hill, and working closely with our friends in the press and even in the Administration. While I am certain that more challenges await, you should be very proud of your leadership – in less than four weeks, the team helped save $3.6 billion from being cut. That matters in the world, and that matters to America. Thank you for your continued support. Liz Liz Schrayer, USGLC
