Friend - I want to thank Jesse for his personal testimony. I'm proud of him and all the volunteers who attended the training over the weekend. Across New Jersey, we're building something important -- bringing people together, speaking to friends and neighbors, and talking about the priorities for our state. Our final drive for petitioning signatures starts now, and this is your last chance to help before the end of petitioning -- it will take all of us working together to get the signatures we need to get on the ballot. Help us fund our final signature push by adding your $10 contribution and a message to me. Use this link: http://act.corybooker.com/field-campaigns If you send me a message, make it from the heart. I'll share a few of the messages that inspire me on Twitter later today. Every day I feel a profound honor to be entrusted with representing New Jersey in the Senate. I'm grateful to you for joining me on this journey. Cory ----------------- Sender: Jesse Schwartzman Subject: It's not for everyone Friend - Volunteering for Cory Booker brings me closer to my community and gives me the feeling that I'm making a difference. For the past several weekends, supporters like me have gathered across New Jersey to collect signatures to get Senator Booker on the ballot this November. We generally get together in the morning, share some coffee and fellowship with other volunteers, and do a quick training on how to circulate and collect petitions. It's not for everyone, but it is important. And for me, it's very rewarding. But these field campaigns aren't powered entirely by volunteers -- they cost money. And when Senator Booker's staff asked me to share my story with you as part of an email to raise funds to cover the cost of the effort, I immediately agreed. So, what do you say? Contribute $10 to Senator Booker's re-election campaign and invest in the kind of grassroots organization that will fight for change this November and beyond. http://act.corybooker.com/field-campaigns At each of the trainings, there have been plenty of first-timers, but also a number of veterans who provide great advice. Eventually, they'll lead trainings of their own. This is the kind of operation that empowers and trusts its supporters, and with every week that goes by, we're creating something that builds upon itself. That's how change is created from the ground-up, and why your $10 contribution is so important. http://act.corybooker.com/field-campaigns I feel it's important to have progressive leaders like Cory Booker in the Senate because he fights for his constituents every single day. Volunteering my time every week is rewarding because I am helping ensure that Senator Booker gets on the ballot in November. Thank you for investing in me, and in all the volunteers who believe in Senator Booker. Sincerely, Jesse Schwartzman Volunteer, Cory Booker for Senate
