There was a story in the WSJ a while back that the company bought a building in Philadelphia a couple of years ago when it was very risky to do so and then in 2013 sold it at a huge profit. A client of mine owns a piece of a similar property about two blocks down Market Street which was on the verge of bankruptcy a year ago and has since made a miraculous recovery. The management now wants to sell and they would be the big winners since they are owed a lot of money and they deserve to be paid back whatever they get. The problem is that there is a suspicion that the building could be sold in a Sweetheart Deal and the minority owners would get screwed. The thought occurred to me that Hunter’s company knows the local market and may be interested or at least know who the other major players are that might be interested. If something comes from this there could be money made by Hunter and you and even me. The building address is 1818 Market Street and is recently known as the Beneficial Bank Building. The building could be worth $200MM and is currently 92% occupied. Nothing to lose by seeing if there is any interest. Let me know. Dad >>>>> David I. Walsh >>>>> >>>>> David I.
