AUCTION RSVP DEADLINE IS MARCH 21
Check your mailbox. Your auction invitation is waiting! This year’s event, “Around the World Together,” will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. in the Athletic Center. Highlights of this year’s event include a special international tasting during the Silent Auction, the return of Auctioneer Patrick O’Neill, and special performances by the US Jazz Ensemble, US Chamber Chorus and Beatles Tribute Band, Britishmania. You don’t want to miss it. Tickets are now on sale and going fast! Purchase your ticket today! There are a limited number of tickets available. Please RSVP no later than March 21, 2014. AUCTION TANGIBLE DONATIONS AND CERTIFICATES DUE THIS FRIDAY, MARCH 14
As the Auction approaches, will need all certificates and tangible items in-house by this Friday, March 14. All items can be dropped off with Asma Rahman at the front desk in the lobby of Zartman House on main campus. If you would like the Auction Committee to create a certificate on your behalf or if you would like to make special arrangements for delivery, please contact Jessie Jacobson, Director of Special Events at 202-537-8442 or jacobsonj@sidwell.edu. SEEKING AUCTION NIGHT VOLUNTEERS
Auction "Night-of" volunteers needed on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 4:00 – 11:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity! People on the "night-of" committee enjoy an evening at the Auction and help this great cause; raising money for financial aid. Duties include hosting Silent Auction tables and helping with bidding procedures in both the Silent and Live Auctions. No experience required, no meetings beforehand (instructions by email and a brief question and answer session that evening). SFS TENNIS TOURNAMENT ON MAY 17, 2014
The SFS Tennis Tournament is back! This year’s tournament will build upon the excitement surrounding the growth of our new tennis program and gather SFS tennis enthusiasts of all ages and skill sets for a day of matches and fun. Please save the date for the SFS Tennis Tournament to take place on Saturday, May 17 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center. US Wednesday Newsletter Submissions
How to Submit an Article to the Wednesday Letter. Send submissions to PA.USNewsletter@sidwell.edu by 2 pm Tuesday, and reference "Newsletter Submission" and the publish date(s) in the subject line (limited to 3 weeks). Items should be submitted as text in the body of the e-mail and should be succinct. If you have a form or flyer to include with your submission, please send it as a PDF attachment. The editor on duty will confirm receipt of all submissions -- if you do not receive a confirmation within a reasonable time period, your submission may not have been received. Lastly, if it becomes necessary to modify a submission previously sent or published, please send a redline or otherwise clearly indicate the change to be made.
