TPC Members and Juniors

I hope everyone was able to get out and enjoy the fantastic weather we had this week. Also, I would like to thank everyone who was able to make it out for the matches this week. We had some light rosters, but I am very proud of everyone who played, for keeping their head up and having fun. Win with class, loose with class. Something that my coaches once told me when I was growing up and everyone this week did a great job of doing so. We are still looking to get more friendly matches together for the PGA Jr. League as well as more for the 9 Hole Interclub and updates will follow.

Moving forward to the week ahead...

Junior Golf Academy

Starting this Tuesday, July 22nd, and ending Friday, July 25th, we will be hosting our last week of Junior Golf Academies. Classes run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This is a great way to introduce your junior golfer to the great game of golf in a fun atmosphere. The classes are instruction based and will cover all facets of the game including etiquette, rules, full swing, short game, and putting. Juniors must be at least 5 years of age and to sign up you may call the golf shop and one of our golf shop coordinators would be happy to assist you. The fee for the week is $275.00 for members and $300.00 for their guest. We also have a very special someone making his return just in time to make this the most exciting Junior Academy to date.

Wednesday FUNdamentals

The topic for the week will be long irons. After watching Mo Martin and Rory McIlroy win their respective Open Championships, hitting their long irons low and into the win, we all should take the opportunity to benefit from such a session. When the wind is influencing your golf ball it is important to learn how to control the trajectory of you long irons. We will also spend time reviewing the hybrids from last weeks session. If you are interested in joining us for the hour of FUN please email me and I will add you to that nights roster.

18 Hole Interclub

I am working on getting an 18 Hole Interclub match together versus Montgomery Country Club. The tentative date is Thursday, July 31st. Times are still to be determined but I wanted to put a feeler out to see if we would have enough players to set this in stone. So if you are available to play on the that Thursday please let me know via email and I will keep everyone updated on the status of the match.

Again I hope everyone had a great weekend and I look forward to seeing everyone throughout the week. As always if you have any questions regarding the team play or instruction feel free to reach out to me at anytime as I am always happy to help.

Best,
