"Abbey" Mallon* April 06, 1996 - July 26, 2014*Visitations:* July 31, 2014 at 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM*Services:* August 01, 2014 at 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM Abigail Eilis Mallon, 18, was granted her angel wings on July 26, 2014. Her journey to heaven was a peaceful one. Having just graduated from Villa Maria Academy and a few weeks away from going off to St. Joseph’s University, her summer and her days on earth were filled with family and friends, many of whom Abbey had touched in some small way throughout her short, yet very memorable life. Abbey’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her bright but gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around her and her vivacious spirit always lit up a room. With Abbey’s passing we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss her every day, especially her healing spirit, she will forever remain in our hearts. Through her faith in Christ and her determination to fix the world, and, through her artistic talents and self-expression, wonderful memories have been created that will guide us through each and every day. Abbey is survived by her loving parents, Tom and Diane Mallon; sister, Rebecca Mallon; brother, Thomas Mallon; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Constance Mallon; maternal grandparents Robert and Priscilla Sherer; paternal great-grandmother, Arlene Delozier; maternal great-grandfather, Bruno Martire; Cynthia and Angelo Sutera, Dylan Sutera, Parker Sutera and Ryann Sutera; Rob and Gaynor Sherer, Gabby Sherer and Tony Sherer. Calling hours are to be held Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 4:30-8:30 pm at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 300 Daly Drive, West Chester, PA 19382. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 10:30 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe. Burial will be private. There will also be a memorial service August 12, 2014 at 7:00 pm for the Villa Maria Classes of 2014 and 2013 and family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Villa Maria Academy – In Memory of Abbey Mallon 370 Old Lincoln Hwy Malvern, PA 19355 Or: St. Maximilian Kolbe – In Memory of Abbey Mallon 300 Daly Drive West Chester, PA 19382 Arrangements have been entrusted to Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home.
