Yes, we are working with Counsyl to come up with a priority target list of key accounts. I think we can break down how we can help into a couple of different categories: 1. Revenue: There are 150 major medical centers in the US, all have a public policy / funding aspect to them. I think this is where we can be most helpful (vs calling on Doctor's practices and offices). Lab testing is a profite center within major medical centers - the value proposition is to outsource the genetic testing of the in-house labs to Counsyl and the medical center make the same or more money without having the overhead, while getting superior tests. We will work with Counsyl to get a priority ranking of the 150 of which we should pursue first. 2. International: Revenue internationally is a long way off, as labs need to be built etc., unless Counsyl pursues a licensing strategy and gets money up front for them, but too early to tell. China is a long road. I think getting a Gulf country to sign up and do a partnership / JV or something like that and put some $ behind it is realistic. So getting a deal done in UEA, Saudi and/or Qatar would be something to think about doing 4Q14 based on all of our relationship and live discussion we have going with them. Also KZ - they talk about tech transfer, providing improved standard of living to their people, etc.. This could be tied to an RSTP commitment, or maybe not, we can discuss. 3. Brand Awareness Anything we can do to get them press: new stories, tv appearances, etc would be helpful. We have a lot of relationship in the media space, let's make a short list of the folks we can approach and get Counsly on the airwaves in September. We should just lead here, not waste time waiting for management to figure it out. If I get the opportunity I will work with management to help develop and advertising and media campaign that will provide air cover for any PR and Sales strategy. As well provide all the marketing materials and thought leadership materials that may be needed. 4. Thought Leadership We could leverage our relationship with the trial lawyers to get position papers written about how Counsyl testing protect doctors from a liability front (or would they not like it because they are on the other side - maybe go to the insurance companies underwriting the malpractice policies?) The Heinz Family Office spent a decade advocating for Health Care reform, maybe we can tap into that community to help create Thought Leadership around genetic information and the long term impacts to health and health costs. 5. Policy Ecosystem As with StartUp Health, if we could get Counsyl involved with roundtables and policy discussion with the agencies within the USG, the value proposition of Counsyl helping to reduce long term care costs (for people born with expensive diseases to care for, etc.). Getting Ramji and the Board members (hopefully Bob Cohn) invited to key policy discussions and PR events would be hugely helpful. John and I will work to prepare for our discussion and come with a list of key accounts and alignment with the company marketing and sales plan. But take a look at the above focus areas and give your thoughts and feedback, suggestions, etc. Best, Neil Neil Callahan Co-Founder & Managing Director Rosemont Seneca Technology Patners 152 West 57th Street, 47th Floor New York, New York 10019 917-945-9516 www.rstp.com -----Original Message----- From: Eric Schwerin [mailto:eschwerin@rosemontseneca.com] Sent: Tuesday, July 22, 2014 10:26 AM To: Katie Dodge Rosemont Seneca Partners Cc: Devon Archer; Hunter Biden; John DeLoche; Neil Callahan; William Lee; Sebastian Momtazi Subject: Re: Counsyl biz dev In advance of this call do we have a list of everywhere Counsyl is being sold so we can identify gaps where we may be helpful?
