Golf Shop Update

Congratulations to the winning team of Steve Glidden, Ryan Bradley and Jerry Schreiber for winning the Captain's Choice Event last weekend. They edged the team of M.S. Bergerson, Jack Caplice and Mike Salmon by 2 points for the victory. The event is always a highlight of the summer especially with the captains draw and dinner the night before which is always a blast! Thanks to everyone who participated as we had the largest field in the past 12 years!

Upcoming Events

Friday Night Couples Event - July 18, 2014 5:00 p.m. Shotgun Start. Sign up as a couple by 12:00 noon on the day of the event or call the golf shop at 219-872-8547 and we will sign you up. $40 per couple includes a buffet dinner on the patio after play and prizes for the winners.

Member Blind Draw #3 - Saturday July 19, 2014 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Very popular the last time we did this a couple weeks ago, just call the golf shop to tell us you want to play and then show up at 7:45 a.m. that morning. The golf shop staff will do a blind draw on the first tee and then send the groups out in the order they are chosen off of both hole 1 and 10. Format is a 2 Best Ball of 4 with handicap. $20 entry fee.

Member / Daughter - July 25th beginning at 12:00 noon. 18 hole, 9 hole, 9 hole alternate shot and 3 hole alternate shot divisions. Call the golf shop for tee times beginning July 17th! Entry is $25 per family.

Member / Son - July 26th Sign up on the bulletin board outside the golf shop or call us beginning Thursday, July 17th to reserve the tee time you want. 18 hole gross and net, 9 hole alternate shot and 3 hole alternate shot divisions. Entry is $25 per family.

President's Cup - August 2nd 8:00 a.m. Shotgun Start. Modified match play at full handicap against the other two player in your threesome. Top 4 point scorers and ties will compete in a shootout for the title! Entry fee of $65 includes a Burgers, Brats and Beers cookout on the patio upon completion of the matches and drinks during the shootout. Golf shop credit payouts for approximately 25% of the field! Entry deadline is July 30.

Husband & Wife Championship - Sunday, August 3 Gross division winners qualify of the CDGA championship. Tee times begin at 11:00. Call the golf shop or sign up on the bulletin board outside the shop. $30 per couple entry fee.

The Bletherin - Thursday, August 7 Lunch at 12:15 and Shotgun start at 1:15 p.m. with dinner following play. A great way to entertain clients and customers as well as old friends. $600 per team includes luxury gift for each player, lunch and dinner after play. Format is modified Stableford Points total for the team. Sign up deadline is July 25. Please indicate shirt sizes of your guests when you sign up.

Senior and Super Senior Club Championship - Saturday, August 9 18 hole Stroke Play competition for both Gross and Net scores. Seniors must be 55 years old or older as of 8/9/2014 and Super Seniors must be 70 years old or older as of 8/9/2014. Entry fee is $30 per player.
