<p>Your course schedule for 2014-15 is now ready to be viewed through the Student Portal (http://www.sidwell.edu/students/index.aspx). Once you have logged in, select “Dashboard” from the top banner. Then select “Upper School Schedule” on the left banner. At the top of the screen you will have the option to print your schedule in a weekly grid. At the bottom of the screen you will see six columns: Course Name, Short Course Name, Teacher Last Name, Teacher 2 Last Name, Semester, and Room. You will need this information to order books. (See below). Please contact Jane Lenherr (<a href="mailto:registrar@sidwell.edu">registrar@sidwell.edu</a>) if you need assistance with logging into Educator Online.</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Course Change Requests:</span></strong> Course schedules for 2014-15 are extremely tight. Due to a number of scheduling constraints, students did not always get their first or second choice for electives in Art and History. If you need to change a course on your schedule, please download the “Course Change Form” (<a href="http://www.sidwell.edu/academics/index1.aspx">www.sidwell.edu/academics/index1.aspx</a>) and fax or scan and email the form to (202) 537-8174 or kimm@sidwell.edu. Please bear in mind that many requests for change may not be possible to grant, given the constraints of individual student schedules and the full enrollment in many of the classes. </p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Books</span>:</strong> Books are now available for purchase through the MBS Virtual Bookstore, and all purchases made between July 28 and August 10 will receive free shipping. To access the bookstore, please log into the Student Portal and select “<a href="http://bookstore.mbsdirect.net/sidwellfriends.htm">MBS Virtual Bookstore</a><span>.</span>” If you have any questions regarding ordering books online, please contact me. </p>

<p>Students who receive financial aid awards for tuition may receive some assistance to reduce the cost of book purchases. If your student qualifies for financial aid, you will receive a letter from Valerie Foster informing you of the book grant amount as well as ordering instructions. <strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong> </p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Placement Exams</span>: </strong>Students who need to take a placement exam may do so on August 27, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in room 104/06.
