Making sure you saw Gavin's email from yesterday, Robert!

I'm the finance director for the campaign, so when Gavin emailed you, I pulled up the numbers to watch the response (the number of hours of my life I've spent refreshing that page is ... disconcerting). Gotta be honest: It looked good at first, but the numbers are starting to drop off, and we're still 562 donations short of our goal. My job is to make sure we have the resources we need for strategically critical efforts like Blue California, so I wanted to reach out and see if we can count on your help hitting this deadline.

We can't keep CA blue and take back the House without you, Robert - this is the money we need to knock on doors, host phone and text banks, and win as many votes as we possibly can by November 6. And take it from me: Every dollar grassroots donors like you give makes a big difference - not just in raising what we need, but in showing everyone just how invested and strong this team is. Here's something to think about for the next 10 weeks, Robert: The key to locking in the biggest check on Trump's agenda we've ever had is right here in CA.

We need to flip 23 seats in order to take back the U.S. House, and almost HALF of those could be won in CA. And if we want a shot at passing our bold agenda in the state legislature, we need a strong and decisive majority.

That's why we just launched Blue California: a new effort to put this team's incredible grassroots power behind Democratic candidates running in crucial, competitive, winnable races that have the power to transform the U.S. Congress and take California's progressive leadership to the next level. CA has always led the nation, but we can't just be content to think that happens on its own. We've got to be all in, putting in the work, pushing this state forward with our bare hands, and showing everybody what resistance with results looks like.

So starting next week, we're going to be pulling out all the stops and organizing like we never have before: knocking on doors, calling, texting, fundraising, and directing all the energy we've built up for the last three years into this final push. We're going to leave it all on the field -- 10 weeks, millions of votes, no regrets.

Robert, I wouldn't ask if it weren't important, but this Blue California initiative is only going to be as effective as the investment we all make in it -- and we need to bring in another 751 donations before August ends. So right now, will you donate $250 or more to help us create a blue wave in California that will elect Democrats up and down the ballot?
