Dear Hunter,

Just over one year ago in November, Marylanders across the state re-elected the
O'Malley/Brown team to another term in office. While I am truly grateful that Maryland
voters have given me another four years at the job, it is clear that our work is
far from complete.

In the past five years as Lt. Governor, the purpose of my time in public service
has been to create jobs and improve the quality of life for all Marylanders. Through
hard work and consensus building, we're taking the lead on issues such as health
care reform implementation in Maryland and the Base Realignment and Closure Process
(BRAC).

All of my work stems first from a strong commitment to public service, and a clear
eye on our #1 priority in Maryland, to create jobs and economic prosperity for all
Marylanders.

report their fundraising numbers, how much we've raised, to the State Board of
Elections. It is a critical test for me as Lt. Governor, and a statement to the

My mother and father instilled in me the value of public service. My father spent
a lifetime as a doctor seeing patients in some of the poorest communities where
I grew up. And while not all of his patients were able to pay for his services,
he woke up every day convinced that his work made a difference in the lives of
his patients and made our community stronger. Through his work, my father instilled
in his children the value of neighbors serving neighbors.

I've had the privilege of serving 28 years in the United States Army, 8 years in
the House of Delegates, and 5 years as your Lt. Governor. I need your help to
