Spring Scramble
May 7, 2015 9:00 a.m. Shotgun Start
Our opening golf event of 2016 is an A-B-C Scramble with teams drawn by computer by handicap. One drive must be used by each player per nine.
Entry fee is $40 per person and includes a Buffet Lunch following play.
Entries are due by Wednesday, May 4, 2015 so call or email to sign up today! We currently have 41 players and are looking to grow the field!

The first Major golf event of the year at Long Beach CC…pick a partner or if you need us to help you match up with one either email Brian at bgodfrey.lbcc@comcast.net<mailto:bgodfrey.lbcc@comcast.net> or call the golf shop at 219-872-8547 and we will pair you up. Format is a better ball of the pair (each player plays their own ball and after each hole you take the better net score of the two of you) both days and we will break the field into flights. You compete only against the teams in your flight. Entry fee is $115 per player and includes the Sunday Evening Welcome Back party for you and one guest.

Tom Sperling Invitational
June 17 & 18
The second Major on the calendar and the biggest event of the season at LBCC! Teams will be flighted based on total team handicap and will play 5 nine-hole matches against the other teams in their flight. Flight winners and one wild card team will then compete in a shootout to determine the overall champions. Saturday night dinner and live entertainment for you, your guest and your spouses is included in the entry fee. $600 per team entry fee. Spots are dwindling but are still available so get your entries in soon!

Tee Times
We will begin to take tee times for weekend play beginning Thursday, May 26th at 7:00 a.m. Tee times may be made for that weekend (Friday – Monday) since it is a Holiday weekend and Friday – Sunday on non-Holiday weekends. If you are looking for a game please call the golf shop and we will pair you up with other singles or a group who is short a person or two. You are always welcome to make tee times during the week (Monday – Thursday) especially if you are planning to bring guests or just want to be sure to go at the time you wish. Please reference your golf privileges chart in your Member booklet to know the times when the golf course is available for open play.

The golf course will once again be open on Mondays after Memorial Day beginning at 12:00 noon.

Driving Range
The Driving Range will open the Friday of Memorial Day weekend (May 27th).

Hours for the season are as follows:
Tuesday 7:15 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 4:00p.m.
Wednesday 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Thursday 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Friday 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

You are always welcome to hit balls at the practice areas but we ask that you only use yellow golf range balls, remain constantly aware of the players on the 17th hole and cease practicing when they are in hitting range. Shag bags will be available for you to use in both the golf shop and the halfway house snack shack. You do, however, have to pick up the balls when you are done practicing during non-range hours.

J. Hilburn Trunk Show
We will also be having a trunk show for Men’s fashion line J. Hilburn on the evening of Friday, June 10th in the main dining room from 6:00 -9:00 p.m. J. Hilburn specializes in upscale, custom fitted menswear of the finest quality. Many of you already are aware of the company and it is a welcome addition to our menswear line to have some business and business casual wear available for your benefit!
