SHARE Receives Grant to Launch High School Partnership

On March 27, SHARE Food Network received a Community Impact Fund Grant to develop a pilot program that promotes the co-op program in two Prince Georges County high schools. By engaging students and their families, SHARE is able to expand while educating them about marketing, finances, record keeping, and service to community. Because You Care

With the help of his case manager, one 801 East resident reconnected with his family in Texas on the phone after being reported missing for over seven years.

Did you know that the Health Care Network is in its 30th year of assisting low-income people access specialized medical and dental services? On March 30, Cardinal Wuerl held the Rose Mass honoring volunteers and staff of the Health Care Network.
A Tenants Empowerment Network client who was interning for DHS was offered a full-time position. The TEN program serves homeless families by providing apartments and wrap-around services for two years. This is a great day for all of us!

• SHARE was one of two programs at Catholic Charities to receive a Community Impact Fund Grant from the United Way. The $ 12,000 grant, which is less than the $ 22,000 requested, will be used to develop a pilot program that promotes SHARE in two Prince Georges County high schools
