Hunter - attached are suggested talking points for the CSIS dialogue. Let's speak tomorrow to determine which one of us will lead the discussion on each of the points and identify any additional background information you want to prepare for the dialogue. Following is a suggested breakdown of the discussion: * You could lead the discussion on the first two points (describing WFP and then WFP USA) * I could describe the composition of the 800 million hungry people (point 3) * You could begin discussion of point 4 by describing WFP's emergency response capacity - drawing on your experiences in the Philippines and Dadaab * We can decide which of the other innovative strategies listed in the talking points that you want to cover and I will describe the others. * You could cover the last point about the responsibility of all nations/people to help solve hunger...highlighting the justifications for action (humanitarian, economic and global stability). I am happy to cover any of the points listed above. It is my understanding that we hope to generate a dialogue and the points included in the talking points should only take 20-25 minutes of the 1.5 hours. Please let me know what time tomorrow is convenient for you - my schedule is very flexible. I look forward to speaking with you. Thank you.
