Do you want to send a note or anything to Raj? ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Liz.Schrayer <Liz.Schrayer@usglc.org> Date: Wed, Dec 17, 2014 at 9:09 AM Subject: FW: My Transition From USAID To: [image: USGLC-horiz-FINAL.jpg] FYI. In case you didn't see. Best regards, Liz Liz Schrayer liz@schrayer.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------- *From:* Rajiv Shah <rshah@usaid.gov> *Date:* December 17, 2014 at 8:03:00 AM EST *To:* Raj Shah <rshah@usaid.gov> *Subject:* *My Transition From USAID* Dear Friends, Early this morning, I shared the news with my colleagues at USAID that I will step down as Administrator in early 2015. <http://www.usaid.gov/news-information/press-releases/dec-17-2014-statement-usaid-administrator-shah> I wanted to take this moment to thank you for your partnership and service to our shared mission of maintaining American strength by ending extreme poverty and promoting resilient, democratic societies. President Obama’s call to end extreme poverty--made in two State of the Union addresses-- reenergized our Agency and elevated our work in the national security agenda. In the years since, we have seized upon this challenge, advancing a new model of development that harnesses innovation and business to bend the curve of progress. With this new model, we have delivered meaningful results across our portfolio, from fighting hunger in Haiti to educating girls in Afghanistan to tackling Ebola in West Africa. Initiatives like Feed the Future, Power Africa, and the Call to Action on Child Survival are inspiring new partners and accelerating our impact. The U.S. Global Development Lab is mobilizing a new generation of scientists, entrepreneurs, and young people to solve the world’s greatest challenges, and the Private Capital Group for Development is helping us promote growth and investment. This new approach to our work has earned bipartisan support, and I am grateful for friendships on both sides of the aisle that have helped advance America’s role as the world’s unquestioned humanitarian and development leader. With a strong leadership team and transition in place, I am confident our mission will thrive in the months and years ahead. Thank you, Raj -- *Katie Dodge* Executive Assistant/ Office Manager *Rosemont Seneca Partners* *1010 Wisconsin Ave., NW, #705* *Washington, DC 20007* *202-333-1880
